Tyson arrived on time, did an excellent job of explaining what the issue was, provided a quote for the repair and fixed it right away. It’s an older door so he also provided a no pressure quote for replacement. I called State 48 after a different company replaced the springs and cables and within a couple of weeks there were issues. I contacted that company twice and was told the issue was new and not related to the spring replacement-although it was. One visit from Tyson and the garage door is back to functioning as it should. We contacted several companies for estimates in fixing our garage door that had a broken spring and two damaged panels. We also asked about a total replacement as the door is from 1999 and the motor 2010. State 48 and specifically David Uehlein gave us an estimate that was $3,000 less and gave us multiple different options to get us back up and operational. David Uehlein was very professional and on time to both the estimate and the install. I found it to be an awesome way to do business when the one giving the estimate and promises, is the same one doing the work. This ensures that we did not get a sales pitch but an honest assessment. They even offer a hero’s discount for my wife as a teacher. David took the time at both interactions to spend time explaining the process, options and how things work. He made sure that I knew how to operate the MyQ garage door opener before he left. The crew ensured everything was picture perfect and up to standards before leaving. Sorry I do not have pics except from the MyQ camera and wall camera that don’t do just to the work. The crew made sure all the mess was cleaned up before departing. David clearly explained the process along the way. The scheduling, financing and communications with State 48 was flawless and very easy. Thanks to the entire team for a job well done. Don’t be fooled into thinking a cheaper estimate means cheaper quality or cheaper service as that’s not the case and State 48 proved it. They provided a white glove treatment without the white glove price.

I have interacted twice with State 48 Garage Doors. The first was a change to my single garage door with the addition of a high lift and side mount motor and the most recent was a motor replacement on my double garage door. The level of customer service is excellent, timely, and very thorough. I was lucky enough to have the same installer/service tech for both occasions and can tell you that Greg was amazing. He was always prompt, professional, and extremely helpful in explaining issues and the options that were available to me. I would recommend the company for any garage door needs.
